Time and energy expended in obtaining such a basic necessity could be diverted to more productive activities if a more efficient solution can be found.   

If we could assist this kind of woman to be financially successful in life, she could hire a better suited, able bodied youngster to attend to this kind of work for her.   

Not only will she become self reliant but will be able to give a youngster some financial help too.
